Great game and well deserved but I must admit that I thought that it might have sold more than that given its age.
I think if it was launched now it would do better ala Last of us. Not sure why I think that and I cant justify it but just a gut feeling around how top end exclusives seem to sell now on PS3 and the amount of mainstream exposure they get.

I think CODs success is its own worst enemy. The publisher/developer are so worried about not making the sales and megabucks that they stick with what works each time rather than risk something really new. Its just small variance on a theme every game.

Amazing really to think how they got it so right with Xbox 360 advertising and marketing (PR not so great with RROD but they dealt with it.), but so far have made such a hash of it with Xbox One.

It is a bit arrogant but MS do put together compelling videos and many of the multiplats had an exclusive carrot for Xbox One added so MS are being clever trying to give gamers a reason to choose its console for the multis.
I'd like to play all of that lot and I'd be quite happy.
